Marie Duprez and family are related to a Catalian family that migrated to France in 1600. Marie Angelique Capdet was born in Fouques in 1825 and lived long enough to have her portrait taken. At that point she may have been living in Egypt. In 1851 Jerome had been exiled to Algeria for participating in an upraising against the future Napoleon III.
